Fascinating Festivities

We all know that Filipino race is a conglomeration of all races in the world. And I assume that one of the reasons why most foreigners go visit Philippines is the topographic of the Pearl of the orient. We are blessed with many natural and manmade scenic spots. This blog aims to impart some information of each festivities being held annually by Filipinos in every locality.

                Famous festivals to name are:

Sinulog Festival being celebrated every 3rd Sunday of January by Cebuanos to honor Señor Sto. Niño. Street dancing is the highlight of the celebration which the Sinulog (which means the current of the water) which is being represented by the beat of the drum.

City of Smiles commemorates its first founding anniversary through Masskara Festival which was first conceived in 1980. Masskara came from two separate words mass – which means crowd and cara, a spanish word that means face. This festivity is being celebrated every October 14-21 yearly in Bacolod City.

Dabawenyos said that Kadayawan Festival is the king of festivals. The term "Kadayawan" is derived from the Mandaya word “madayaw.” This is being celebrated every August 20-24. This festival evolved from a simple thanksgiving or “pahinungod” to the gods particularly to the “Manama” (the Supreme Being) to tribal festivals featuring the lumad and the Muslim tribes and from two other programs and finally in 1988, City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte renamed the festival as "Kadayawan sa Dabaw"

I’ve planned to witness personally Kadayawan sa Dabao on August 2012 and
Masskara Festival by October  2012 with my friends. I’ll be sharing more information and experiences on what the locals has to offer.

I would like to inform that I got the pictures of the festivities on the website. I do not own them. I’ll be posting pictures which I will have when we get there. Aside from pictures, I’ll also be imparting tips and information on how to make your stay in Davao, Bacolod and Cebu worth every of your penny.

Scriptwritter Strikes

I rearranged my plans. Gusto mong malaman?

Dahil habambuhay kitang aalagaan at mamahalin.

Mga taong may iba't ibang purpose of existence...

sHiRo Started

https://www.facebook.com/shiromontero stated literally started as a one-piece computer business. We started by offering printing services to students with a very reasonable price, - half the price that of our competitors.

If you're thinking to venture and enter the world of business industry, and you're not sure on what business to put up, start walking around to where you wanted to have your business, assess the location, look for a problem in that area, make your business its solution. It may appear to be that simple, but the next question is - "Is the line of business inclined to my interests?"  "Do I have the ins and out of it?" etc...

Social networking sites are of great help in promoting businesses. sHiRo relay promos through facebook. Now, here at sHiRo, we had increase the number from 1 unit to several. We already have studies on branching out in the near future on some locations.

I would like to thank my friend who had given me the new proposed promo to our new costumers which will be rolled out this coming November. We had tried it to some of our costumers and we're receiving positive feedback about the promotion. This will be posted on the fan page of sHiRo in facebook...

Please visit our page and if you could leave a mark, it would be highly appreciated.

Inspiring Others

Looking back on my younger years, I always wanted to be have my own business. I saw how my grandfather and my mother run the business. I was inspired how they were able to give jobs to number of people. Peter Parker once said that "With great power comes great responsibility." True enough. Having number of people working for you would give you authority and power to move them, whether or not for the better.

It takes a lot of risk to take to run a business but I see it as a challenge to overcome. Risk-taker. That is the first characteristic of a good entrepreneur. We can have a long list of traits one businessman should have, but let's not go that far anymore. Inspiring other I think would be on the list.

I'm beginning to establish my own business and looking forward to achieve my ultimate goal... Hope that I'll be able to impart some ideas and technique to all of you...
